A site visit to the construction site of GMERS Medical College, Morbi, was successfully organized by the Applied Mechanics/Civil Engineering Department, Lukhdhirji Engineering College, Morbi, for the students of 4th and 6th Semester Civil Engineering. The visit aimed to enhance students’ practical understanding of Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) structures and real-time construction practices. Students were guided by Mr. Dipen Thakkar, Project Manager, and were introduced to RCC structural components, reinforcement detailing, Bar Bending Schedule (BBS), construction techniques, quality control procedures, material testing, site supervision and safety practices. The visit provided valuable exposure to large-scale construction and helped students connect theoretical knowledge with practical implementation.
