The Department of Information Technology came into existence since 1999. The Department offers Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology program. The intake for this program is 30 students per year.  As part of curriculum, students study various subjects related to computer hardware, software, networking, wireless communication, artificial intelligence, machine learning and network security. The final semester is fully dedicated to industrial training/project development to give industry exposure to the students. The department has one faculty member with PhD degree, two faculty members are pursuing PhD and the other have Masters Degree.  The department has got good placement record in last three years. The placement of students passed out in May-June 2022 is 100%. 

• To make students industry ready by providing knowledge of basic to advanced IT tool and technologies.
• To encourage and support the students in solving real world problems using IT.
• To make students aware of duties towards society, country and become responsible citizens.
• To integrate moral and ethical values in students.

At the end of BE(IT) program, students will be able to do the following:

1. Design & Develop software solutions as per needs of organizations and society by applying appropriate IT principles, tools and techniques.
2. Maintain IT resources of an organization.
3. Contribute effectively and ethically in a team environment.
4. Cope up with state of the art IT tools and technologies.
5. Become job providers rather than just job seekers.
   

Students will be able to…

1. Pursue higher studies and perform research-work useful to society and industry.
2. Build a successful career as an IT professional.
3. Setup own startup and become an entrepreneur.
